| If you live in Ontario and love to ski, chances are you know well where Moonstone is... If you prefer to spend your winters in the warmer climates or you are simply not into that whole winter thing, perhaps you are not familiar with this picturesque location. Moonstone is located in Central Ontario, in the middle between Barrie, Orillia and Midland. Nestled down by the slopes of Majestic St. Louis Moonstone Ski Resort, it is a well guarded secret of the ski country. I'm lucky enough to live right here. My hometown - Barrie is just 20 minutes away and it still is a major part of my life, I work here, my kids go to school here, but Moonstone is where I come to relax and unwind. When we first searched for vacant lots to build our "for-ever" home, I came across many that probably would suit my families needs, but none of them gave me that "good-inside" feeling. When I stepped out of the car that first time I came to Moonstone, I was sure that this is it. Three years latter, I am still in love with the place. Nowhere else I experienced the calmness and quiet of the Summer night. Nowhere else (and I've been in quite a few places...) I allowed myself to take in what the surroundings had to offer. I wake up early in the morning, open my patio doors, and can have my coffee on the deck in my night gown... total privacy, only birds disturb the quiet of the morning. Some people need to hear the city to enjoy life, those seeking calm seclusion are drawn to the country. In Moonstone, you are right there, with farms on your doorstep, numerous skiing resort minutes away and still close enough to three big cities. What else can you ask for?
